Two more weeks, much more fun
I'm back at the computer again. I've been playing and having a holiday happen, then Mama's birthday just yesterday. It really has been a full couple of weeks.
Mama and Daddy are getting better at understanding me even more. Now, they know when I'm saying stuff like "roll" after they roll something, "rocking chair" when I see one of those. So, they've been ever better hearing what I'm telling them, which is good. Now if they could just figure out "feed me cake" and "I want candy" and "Hey, I want to watch Blue's Clues" I'll like that.
On Thanksgiving, I saw lots of people and Mama made sure Daddy helped me try different foods. I still don't know what to think about turkey. Daddy eats it, then later he snores a lot on the same day. I wonder if it's because he's eating turkey?
But, I got to eat sweet potatoes on Thanksgiving. Those are really yummy. There were one of the first vegetables I had and I've loved them ever since. I know what I like and I know what I'll eat. Mama keeps saying I need to learn to eat more things and she's probably right. Daddy says there is a world of yummies out there I need to get to. I will, just on my time.
Speaking of yummy, I've found out about cinnamon graham crackers. Wow. That's all I can say. Just wow.
In other news, I think I've figured out the big deal about this "football." Lots of people seem to really, really like it. Like Mama. She loves it. Daddy too. They're always happy when the Cleveland Browns win. Daddy tells me the Browns have been doing that much, much more than normal lately. Daddy also says I'm a Browns fan, so Yay Browns!
It's getting closer to my birthday and Daddy said this one will be just as much fun as last year. That's good, because I go to eat cake that was all mine last year when it was my birthday. I'm guessing I'll get to eat more cake, which will make me happy.
Also, Daddy let me see his big key chain the other day while we were playing. Usually, that would be a bad idea because it or pieces of it would go straight into my mouth. Well, in a quick decision I decided to not let the keys go into my mouth and instead play with them a lot. Mama and Daddy both seemed very pleased by that.
One final bit of news, then I'll let you go about your day: I've figured out a favorite three tap drumming pattern that I now do lots. I do it when I kick and when I drum and just whenever the mood hits me. I like drumming because it's part of music. I really like music. I have a new three CD set of tunes I really like. They're things like "London Bridge", Wheels on the Bus", "Itsy Bitsy Spider" and others of the true classics.
Oh darn. I got off topic. Again. The attention span of a toddler is not great, you know.
Anyway, thanks for stopping by. I'll see you again soon.

My belated return
Bad Daddy. OK, fine. Busy Daddy. But I've made it back again for this update. There is plenty to report.
The first is Trick or Treat. This year, I went out and Daddy and I went to people's houses and they gave me candy. Daddy seemed very happy to be out doing that. I think there was a lot of good stuff in my basket, a plastic pumpkin. But alas, because Mama and Daddy kept saying something about "human sugar molecules" and "Connor never going to sleep" and "sugar" I apparently got to go just for the experience. Daddy said I got a Mounds bar that was particularly yummy.
I went as a puppy in a costume that had one of those blasted hoods on it. I am not the biggest fan ever of hoods. Give me my choice and I'd almost never wear one. Hats are cool. That I'll do. But hoods hide my ears and I'm afraid to not be able to hear people and, well, you get the general idea. If I don't have to put a hood over my head, well, I just don't.
So, that leads us to the rest of the story. I was a puppy, but Daddy kept trying to put that blasted hood on my head so it would show the puppy ears. I had paws, but apparently this did not satisfy Daddy, Apparently he thought people would think I was a Moose or something because that hood kept coming up. Alas, I won again, as it is my head and eventually, Daddy gave up.
We had lots and lots of fun though. I liked seeing other kids out in their costumes, even if some of them were a little scary. Daddy told me that happens on Halloween and when I got bigger I would understand it better. Daddy can be a bit silly, but I'll trust him on this one.
While Daddy and I were out, Mama handed out candy. We live on a street that has a lot of cars, but apparently not many trick-or-treaters. But, as the night went on, Mama got to give more candy away, which meant less for Daddy I suppose. He doesn't really need candy anyway.
Mama and Daddy have improved their ability to understand what I'm saying much more lately. They say I'm speaking more clearly, but I've always been clear in what I want and how I've said it. Is it my fault if they fail to understand? This toddler, for one, thinks not. But, now they know when I say lots of things and they're doing a much better job than before. Now, when I ask what something is, or tell them what I want or who I want, they get the hint. So, good job, by them of catching on.
